It’s Better Together is a nonprofit organization based in Sussex County, Delaware, dedicated to supporting children with special needs and their families through inclusive events, a centralized resource hub, and accessible art programs. It’s Better Together fosters connection, creativity, and opportunity by offering a welcoming community where families find support, access local services, and engage in enriching experiences right here in Southern Delaware.
It’s Better Together began with a simple but powerful need — connection. A group of parents of children with special needs wanted to find support, share experiences, and build friendships, but didn’t know where to start. What began as a small effort to bring families together on social media quickly grew into a community rooted in understanding, encouragement, and shared experiences. Today, It’s Better Together continues to create spaces where families feel supported, connected, and never alone on their journey.
