April Sensory Art & Craft Workshop with Francois Foundation for Autism

  • Milford Public Children's Library 11 South East Front Street Milford, DE, 19963 United States (map)

April Sensory Art & Craft Workshop at the Milford Library will begin with a guided painting activity, where children can explore creativity through colors, textures, and self-expression in a sensory-friendly environment. Following the art portion, there will be a music & movement session, where children can engage with instruments such as shakers, tambourines, and clackers, along with guided movement activities that support coordination, sensory regulation, and social interaction. The program is designed to be inclusive, calming, and engaging for children on the autism spectrum.

Each session includes:

• A structured welcome with a visual schedule

• Sensory warm-up activities to support regulation

• Guided art activities using textured and adaptive materials

• A calm-down corner with fidgets and sensory tools

• Brief parent connection and resource-sharing time

In addition, each participating child will get a free sensory toy to take home, helping extend regulation tools beyond the workshop. Pizza and drinks will also be provided for families, creating a welcoming, community-centered environment where parents and children can connect comfortably.

All materials, trained facilitators, volunteers, sensory supports, and refreshments will be provided to ensure a positive and fully supported experience for everyone involved.

Registration Required.
